Thaniel

This name can be seen as a variation of Daniel, but it also works as a shortened version of Nathaniel. Thaniel has an exciting contrast between its bold beginning and gentle ending, making it an interesting name to pronounce and spell. Its medley of vowels and combination of common consonants make it quietly unique; strong but not imposing.

Lann

The name Ann is a centuries-old favorite... but recently it's started to fade away (though we predict similar names, including Anne, Annette, and Annika, may stay around for a little while). Lann has Ann nested within it, but it's a lot more versatile. For those who just don't like linearity and inflexibility in names, this serves as a one-of-a-kind modern twist that lets you fill in the blanks yourself.

Theta

This is not your typical Theo or Thomas - but it is a name for all you Th- fans out there. Theta is the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet, standing purely for the Th- sound. It's also used as a mathematical symbol (often in trigonometry!) to represent an unknown angle value. As a name, it holds the elaborate and complicated history of its meaning, all in five bold letters.

Tollen

Tollen sounds like it belongs in a fantasy or fairy tale, with dragons and elves and magical brownies. Its double L gives it a good balance, while the O feels like a rabbit hole you can fall into that will transport you to another wondrous world. This name's strength lies in its solid six letters, which have a stability that doesn't translate as well when you try to shorten it.

Brory

Though you can find the name Rory within it, the Br- beginning softens this name's sharper edges, so that it feels more similar to Briar or Bree. Brory has a coziness and warmth about it that may remind you of anything from meadows of soft grass and dandelions to deep green bushes with flowers springing up to greet you.

Reyan

Reyan is a shimmering star of a name that works for many purposes. A tribute to Star Wars? Try out the nickname Rey. An alternative to Ryan, Rayna or Rain that still dominates the attendance sheets? Reyan is the name. A nice, wholesome length and the rockin' initial R? You can find it here! And if you do end up choosing this name, you can have full use of the slogans Reyan is Stayin'! ™* or Reyan is Playin'! ™*
Cool Name Suggestion! If this isn't quite your style, consider Rejan, pronounced the same way (RAY-en).

Zaxwyn

In response to a challenge from our loyal users to invent a name using the letters W, X, Y, AND  Z, we present to you... Zaxwyn! While it is perhaps on the quirky side of names on our blog, it shares the -wyn ending with many old favorites - Tamwyn being a good example. A cool bonus is the nickname Zax: a space-age version of Zach (like Jax is for Jack). Zaxwyn is a salute to sci-fi lovers and Z-name fandoms... or anyone who just appreciates a name with the eccentricity to crush the boundaries of the English language to smithereens.

Simona

If you just can't let go of the clever, compact Sim beginning, this name is for you. Simona is based off of Simon, Simmons, and Simone, though it's also very similar to the name Ramona. The nickname Mona is one of the smoothest nickname options you can have, true to the full name yet bright enough to stand alone.

Bridger

This name makes a lovely bridge  between winter and spring. Bridger has a grand, earthy feel that may appeal to fans of Hunter, Archer, Easton, or Hawke. At first glance, it may seem like it's hard to perceive as a name - but think of it as only one letter off from Bridget. This name can remind you of many things - whether it be a neighborhood bridge that has a place in your heart, a towering feat of architecture to rival the Golden Gate, or even the bridge of a violin, holding up the strings and allowing for beautiful music day after day after day.

Caea

This name can be interpreted multiple ways. You could see it as an A added to the end of the "Cae" in Caesar to produce a name pronounced much like Cia. This would be the more unique, sophisticated choice. Or you could decide to say it the more straightforward way, like KIE-ah or KAY-ah. However you choose to pronounce it, the cool triple-vowel combination makes for a truly special name spelling.
